As the number of completely Covid-vaccinated individualities surpassed the incompletely jabbed eligible population for the first time, the government has expressed confidence that every grown-up will be covered with at least the first cure by the end of the month-long‘Har Ghar Dastak’ crusade that was launched in November first week.
Over 114 crore boluses have been administered so far —38.4 crore people have entered both boluses, while37.4 crore were jabbed formerly.
This assumes significance as it indicates that while maturity of the country’s eligible adult population has now initiated vaccination, the alternate cure content has also increased mainly, particularly driven by the‘Har Ghar Dastak’ crusade.
“ The loyal political commitment of the government to cover every citizen from Covid through vaccination has enabled the civil drive to achieve several feats ever since its commencement on January 16, 2021,” health minister Mansukh Mandaviya said.
Presently, over 80 of the adult population has entered at least the first cure of the vaccine, whereas over 40 has got both boluses.
The door-to- door vaccination crusade aims to insure that the entire adult population of the country is covered with the first cure of Covid vaccine, while those who are due for the alternate cure are motivated to take it as per protocol.
